Compliance Assistance

Export Compliance
Penalties for violations of the Export Trade Administration regulations are becoming more severe;
a misunderstanding of the rules is not an acceptable defense. We help exporters determine if their product is on the Commerce Control List or otherwise regulated by the Bureau of Industry and Security or the Export Administration Regulations. If so, we will assist you in applying for the required export license. We also assist exporters with determining if their product requires import or export licensing or permitting under the International Traffic in Arms regulations.
Import Compliance
We can assist you in navigating the maze of the U.S. Customs regulations, starting with the proper classification of your products. Should the need arise, we will assist with the mitigation of CBP Notices including fines and penalties. We offer complete review of current and closed files for inaccuracies in HTS or Trade Agreements.
Customs Bonds
Customs requires that their fees are protected by the posting of bonds. Whatever type of bond your company may need, we can assist in all bonding requirements, often resulting in reduced cost.
Customs Duty Drawbacks
Our Licensed Customs Broker can prepare your request for Duty Drawback. If you import cargo into the US and then subsequently export it, you can recover up to 99% of duties paid to Customs. If you have already exported the merchandise, we can request a one-time waiver and go back up to three years to recover the monies paid to CBP. Money can be recovered even if the product was sold and then exported.
FDA
Our company is a registered agent with the FDA for foreign exporters of food and beverage products for human or animal consumption. We assist importers of these products with FDA compliance issues, setting up procedures, product labeling, food facility registration and Prior Notice advice to US Customs.
USDA
Our company is also a registered importer of live and cut plants with the USDA. We can assist importers of these products with compliance issues regarding USDA and APHIS, including compliance with country of origin restrictions and regulations, permitting and quotas.
Corporate Customs Broker Licensing Assistance and Broker Management
In order for an office to clean cargo under a company name, the corporation must be registered as a company that is authorized to conduct customs business. We can assist with all requirement. Our team can assist with their business set-up as well as a comprehensive compliance program that will reduce exposure. Once the program is implemented, a company representative will visit the office and will use our proprietary checklist to verify compliance, mimicking an actual US Customs audit.
Federal Maritime Commission Licensing
Many companies are not aware that in order to make money on an ocean bill of lading, they must be registered with the FMC. We will assist in the program start-up and requirements for movement of cargo via ocean bill of lading.
